George C. Scott and Don Ameche are retiree pals who stumble across $4 million in an abandoned car, and flee with it in a 1963 Imperial LeBaron.

They pull the 1963 Imperial into a rest area at the mother's request...

...and find a suitcase full of money while she's in the restroom.  After they're discovered by the money's owner, it's time to scoot out of there!

The mobster who owns the money takes a few pot shots at the '63 LeBaron, hitting the decklid.

But they get off safely down the road, with Don Ameche petrified at driving so fast (maybe 45 mph).

Convinced they've gotten away, Don Ameche pulls the 1963 Imperial into a rest stop for a bite to eat.

The mother is "too pooped to pop", so she stays in the car while the men go inside.  While they're in the restaurant, the car rolls away and disappears before they notice.

When she wakes up, someone else is driving!

Her scream causes the driver to make a hard U-turn with the Imperial.

A young punk girl drives granny back to the restaurant, where there's a happy reunion with George C. Scott.  "You know what?  This is the best damn car trip I've ever been on...in my whole life!"
