NEW GUARDED SAFETY DOOR LATCH AND STRIKER

The following models will have a new safety door latch and striker: Imperial, Plymouth, Valiant, Dodge, and Dart. Strength and reliability are designed into both striker and latch mechanisms to provide safety for car occupants when doors are either fully or partially latched.

The full width bearing surface provided by the striker ensures secure latching at all times. The cast malleable iron striker has no protruding edges to snag the clothing of persons entering or leaving the car. Adjustment and installation remain the same.
