The Imperial Salon

Imperial Home Page -> Mailing List & Club -> The Imperial Salon

The Imperial Salon is a place where we can meet for virtual coffee and snacks, and chat about just about anything you'd like to discuss from your Towne and Country Wagon to Politics and Foreign Policy. The Salon is a great way to get to know your fellow imperialists better by discussing current issues as well as other cars. This is a place where you can feel happy to share your viewpoints without fearing that you'll be scorched off of the face of the earth - After all - The same rules of courtesy that apply to the main OIC mailing-list apply here, too.

Think of the ImpSalon as an ongoing party where folks with strong, passionate feelings can share them freely, with the knowledge that the host of the party can toss out the rude folks after a single warning. The best part is, long-winded opinions are valued here, and all viewpoints are respected, as long as we allow each other our basic humanity and dignity.

Yes, this means that these discussions will be steered away from the main discussion-list, permanently. The mail-traffic is becoming a problem for many people, and endless opinionated discussions about safety, color-choices and such are of interest only to those of us with a lot of spare time on our hands. So, folks like us finally have a soapbox to share our opinions!

If you have an opinion on how the new sub-group's focus should be shifted as time goes by, the only place to discuss this will be on the ImpSalon list, so join us today!

I've already added a core-group of our best members, and invite you to join us as well.

Many thanks to Rob Shapiro for coming up with the Salon concept - It's a winner!
