How To Remove Over-Sprayed Paint On Your Imperial

Tip from Greg:

The paint on my 1966 Imperial LeBaron was badly oxidized and it had black over-spray on top of the faded yellow color as well.  I first washed the car with soap and water, thus removing the surface dirt and dust.  The over-spray (POR15) was not about to come off with a mere washing, I tried using a nylon brush but found that the brush started to part with it bristles before much over-spray was removed.  The second and mostly successful attempt was using fine "Scotch Brite" and water, with much elbow grease the offensive black over-spray was removed and a layer of oxidation on the original cars paint.  I was quite pleased with the results but use this method only if all else fails because it does remove some of the original paint.
