This 1927 Chrysler Imperial 80 Sedan appeared for sale on the internet in May 2006.  The owner had this to say about the car:

The car was bought new by Areo Beyer, the Crescent, Oklahoma, banker, in 1927, for his wife. They were one of the few families at the time that owned a car in Crescent (or so I have been told). The vehicle was then given to a friend of the family in the late '60s or early '70s and parked under a lean-to on a barn with the idea of restoring it. Over the years the lea- to deteriorated, leaving the rear end of the car exposed to the weather, which caused extensive dry rot to the rear of the vehicle. I purchased the car in 2004, with the idea of possibly restoring it for my own "Sunday driver" or for resale. After researching the cost of restoration, trying to locate plans/templates for the coach work wood framing, and assessing the restored value, I have decided to offer the car up to Chrysler Imperial lovers.

I have no title for the vehicle but do have an original 1933 registration. I tried to locate a serial number, but other than the engine number there is no data plate with a serial number on the car--not on the dash, the door pillar or the firewall.  --mksmith@pldi.net
