                                     HISTORICAL NOTES:                                     

 

The 1930 Chrysler Imperial carried the serial number EP542C to EP608R and the engine numbers L6359 to L6998. 

 

The 1930 Imperial carried two deviations from the 1929 models.  The most important distinction was the new 4-speed "Multi-Range" transmission.  Also new this year were the smooth, non-corrugated bumpers.

Displacement : 309.3 cubic inches C. R. Standard - 5.2:1   Optional - 6.0:1

Carburetor - Stromberg

CHASSIS

Wheelbase : 136 inches

Tires : 7.00 x 18 with wood spoke wheels

TRANSMISSION -

The all new "Multi-Range" 4-speed transmission.  Speeds : 3F/ 1R and 4F/ 1R.  Floor shift controls.  Conventional clutch.  Shaft drive.  Overall ratio for the Imperial is 3.77:1 to 4.45:1
