Ron La Curran's 1967 Imperial Lebaron

This is my 1967 Chrysler Imperial LeBaron. I remember the first time I laid eyes on it I hadn't had my driver's license quite 1 year. My grandpa had just bought it off of another elderly gentlemen and if my memory serves me correctly he was the original owner. At the time (1999) I had a 65 Mustang Fastback and thought I was living the good life. He took me out back to show me his new purchase and it was love at first sight. He tossed me the keys and asked me to move it to another section of the backyard. I hopped in and was amazed at the plethora of switches, knobs, doodads and "options" that the Le Baron was optioned with. I hadn't been aware half of those options existed back in the 60's!. I turned the key and the 440 rumbled to life and I moved it the maybe 30ft to its new parking spot. Well, my exuberance for the vehicle must have shown because my grandpa wrote me into his will for the car. One year later I left for college and spent my summers working out of state and now, 8 years later, I've returned. My grandpa passed away 5 years ago so the Imperial has been sitting since then but overall, it is still all there. I look forward to finding work so I can get this beast back up and running and documenting my work.

Having lived my life driving performance vehicles designed for cornering and hauling buns, it will be great to get something restored that was meant to just CRUISE.
