Move Over, Darling

A cute movie starring James Garner and Doris Day, with excellent footage of his 1963 Imperial convertible.  Be prepared to see the car destroyed, however.

Below are several still pictures from the movie.  In order to play, just click any of the pictures below--click on a small picture for a small (12.5 Meg) movie, or a large picture to view a larger, high quality clip suitable for viewing in "full-screen" mode; file size is 95 Meg. James Garner and his new bride head off for their honeymoon after he's had his first wife (Doris Day) declared legally dead 5 years after she disappeared at sea.  Unbeknownst to him, she's just been rescued and is returning home that same day....

Interesting tidbit: if you look at the screen shot below, you can plainly see that a woman, not James Garner, is actually driving in the live action part of this scene, but it's not noticeable as the car whizzes past during the movie.

"Ellen! They're here," calls Doris Day's (former? current?) mother-in-law as the newlyweds arrive home.

"Now, now, Ellen, temper, temper....everything's working out just fine."  Nice interior shot of the '63.

"I didn't do too badly, did I?" asks Doris Day after driving the 1963 Imperial convertible.  "Oh no, except when you made that left-hand turn, you signaled with your windshield wipers" replies Garner.  "It's all those buttons, Nicky--they confuse me" is Doris' excuse.

After a good chase scene in which James Garner's cab follows Doris Day to a car wash, things really get out of hand.  Very funny scene, as long as you don't think about the poor Imp!
