Plot Summary from Internet Movie Database: Carlo Cofield first meets Laura when she wrecks his car and destroys all his worldly possessions. In trying to get insurance money from her he finds she is being kept by married swimming-pool big-shot Rod Prescott. Cofield uses this information to persuade Prescott to give him a job as a salesman. Assuming Laura is spoken for Cofield starts chasing beach-girl and sky-diver Malibu, while Prescott's wife in turn starts to fancy him.

The movie opens with Tony Curtis pulling his VW Beetle up alongside a 1966 Imperial Crown convertible.
