A White 1961 Imperial Crown Convertible

Imperial Home Page -> Imperials by Year -> 1961 -> White Convertible

We recently saw this Imperial convertible for sale. Here's what the owner had to say about the car:

This is a very rare Chrysler Imperial Convertible 413 V-8, push button fresh rebuilt automatic transmission. The paint is about a year old, very nice with some minor scratches from being put back together and two very small bubbles in the lower front door and three tiny bubbles in the paint in the rear, by the wheel well (See Photos). That should be an easy fix. The interior is new white leather, with new carpet, very nice original dash, with one small crack in the steering wheel (See Photo). The new white top was put on about one year ago. The brakes are new all around, tires are new. The chrome has all been redone with some small imperfections on the side pot metal trim.

The car runs and drives very nice, straight down the road with no rattles. This was a original white on white California car with no rust or damage. We hate to sell this car but we need to keep the addiction going. We had the car on e-bay before and got to $28,500,but we thought the car was worth more. We are going to sell the car this time so please bid.

The power motor has been rebuilt but the top will need the hydraulic lines replaced in order for it to work. The instrument cluster needs some work to get everything working (See Photos). The turn signal indicator is broken off in the column and will need to be fixed. All of the power windows and power seat all work fine. Some motors have been replaced. We are missing the rear trunk lock cylinder and are trying to order one before close of aution. There are also two trims missing around the rear bumpers (See Photos) Some things we will be trying to fix during the auction. Please keep in mind, there is no such thing as a $60,000 car for $30,000.00. This is not a perfect car, but a very nice dry rust free California car., ready to drive and cruise for the summer.

If you're the new owner come and join The Imperial Club and tell us more about this beauty!
