Aubrey Dobbs' 1961 Imperial Crown 4-door Hardtop

Imperial Home Page -> Imperials by Year -> 1961 -> Aubrey Dobbs

I found MaeWest on the Net while working overseas on a small island in Indonesia. Upon returning to the US in January, 2000 I bought a one-way ticket to Cincinatti, rented a car one-way to Dayton, bought the Imperial and drove home 500 miles through a tornado that was going through Kentucky at the time. I look back and think that I must have been crazy but life is too short to always do the sane things. I later found that she had originally come from South Carolina so I guess that I was just bringing her back home. She is in pretty good shape but there is always room for improvement and the odd things that always seem to break down just when you think you've got everything taken care of. Its now time for some body work and paint job to get rid of some bubbles along her bottom panels. These pieces of art and history are a lot of work but its worth it everytime you pass somebody and put a smile on their face and get the thumbs up from them. I'm located over in Simpsonville, S.C.
