Synopsis from Internet Movie Database:

"Edison: The Wizard of Light" is a fictional account of how Thomas Edison takes under his wing an orphan named Jack who becomes his assistant at his Invention Factory. Jack grows up to become a user of one of Edison's inventions - the movie camera, i.e., Jack becomes a filmmaker and moves out of the Invention Factory.

In this night scene our filmmaker drives his Chrysler Imperial back to the shop of his old boss, Edison.  There he invites him to take a drive, to which Edison replies, "Oh, come up in the world, have we?"  Indeed he has in a 1927 Chrysler Imperial!
